As a therapist, I believe that people have problem solving capability. I utilize a cognitive/solution focused approach to therapy.
I graduated from the University of Illinois Springfield and hold a Masters Degree in Human Development Counseling and a Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology from Northcentral University.
Additionally, I hold an LPC-MHSP in Tennessee, an LCPC in Illinois, and telehealth Licensed in Florida. Previously, I worked in the law enforcement field for approximately eleven years as a police officer.
I have experience with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), grief, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse/dependency, managing stress, anger, personality disorders, LGBTQIA+ and ALLY community, and spiritual abuse/religious deconstruction.
I have extensive clinical experience/knowledge/education in working with addiction recovery and chronic relapse. I have been practicing since 2016.
I enjoy working with the military/law enforcement/emergency services culture and am familiar with the challenges those who serve face each day.
Therapy is a time and space to process and explore your life and become more self-aware. I look forward to meeting you!
I am available for telehealth/virtual sessions for residents of Florida and Tennessee. I am available for in person and virtual sessions for residents of the state of Illinois.
Office located at 5130 Hickory Point Frontage Rd. Decatur, IL 62526. By appointment only.
